Today’s gorgeous Frida Kahlo Adora (With A Tiny Rhino Earring) was created by illustrator & graphic designer Sharona Gonen from Israel. Sharona lives in Tel Aviv. She had her illustrations and infographics published in Haaretz, the International Herald Tribune and elsewhere. Here is her flickr stream.
This was done after a request on the Adora Art Wish List and was based on this photograph. It is the second beautiful version of Adora as Frida kahlo. The first one was created by Alice Rapcencu 2 years ago.
Sharona wrote: Frida’s gifted this self portrait to her physician, Dr Eloesser, who helped her heal from a painful condition. So this portrait of Adora symbolizes her healing from loss.
Sharona is an animal rights advocate, so in lieu of payment for her work, she asked that I make a donation to Save The Rhino, which I gladly did.
תודה רבה לך, Sharona!
